Lexi Sun is a Chinese born multidisciplinary artist and fashion photographer based in Berlin and London. She completed her Master's degree in Contemporary Photography; Philosophies and Practices at Central Saint Martins in 2018. Over the past few years she participated in exhibitions at Tate Exchange, Tate Liverpool, Lethaby Gallery, Folkestone Fringe, Everyman&Playhouse, FACT Liverpool and Sluice Biennial followed by her first solo show at BLANK 100 London. Her work was published by Vogue, I-D China and F!Y Magazine during London and Milan Fashion Week.
Lexi senses rhythm and repetition as the rhizome of her art practice, combining installation, performance, photography, moving image and sound. The root of new growth lies in the rhythm of her process of folding, unfolding and refolding the repetition, which itself leads to infinity. By exploring the possibility of expiration and vanishing through examining and negating the boundaries between fashion and art, she aims to build bridges between civilisations and to contribute to the way we understand each other and ourselves.
